The SEMINARHAUS ILIOHOOS is located directly on the beach on the edge of the small, idyllic fishing village of Kalamos. Kalamos lies at the foot of a green hill with olive, lemon and orange trees. It is surrounded by many quiet bays for swimming, with clean white pebbles and sand, picturesque rocks and the turquoise, crystal-clear waters of the Aegean Sea.
Our complex, with taverna and practice room, is surrounded by wonderful olive, lemon and orange trees. It is situated on a fine-pebble beach with calm, clear water. More beaches can be found in Kalamos and in the surrounding idyllic bays. Breakfast and dinner buffets are served on the terrace directly by the sea or in the restaurant.

Accommodation
You will stay either in a room in the main building or in one of the spacious apartments, located within a 1 to 3-minute walking distance. All accommodations offer a balcony or terrace, shower/toilet, TV and refrigerator, mostly with sea views. The complex also includes a taverna and a seminar room. Free Wi-Fi is available in the restaurant and in all rooms.

From the open dining terrace, you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the sea and experience the most beautiful sunsets during dinner. From time to time, dolphins even swim past.
Meals / Catering
Breakfast buffet and Greek dinner are served on the terrace directly by the sea or in the restaurant.
Most of the food comes from local producers. There is homemade olive oil, honey, jams, vegetables, and fruit.
Dinner is included in the price on seminar days. On hiking days and on the free day, meals can be enjoyed at an additional cost in our popular hotel restaurant or in one of the local tavernas.
Practice Areas
Practice takes place on two wooden platforms in the middle of an idyllic olive grove, in the indoor seminar room, on the beach, or on the terrace.
There are two outdoor practice spaces with wooden floors, set among olive groves. Nearby, there is a small river and a spring with drinking water. Practice is held in the natural shade of plane trees and olive trees. It is very quiet there; the only sounds are the gentle waves of the sea and birdsong.
The complex also features an enclosed, round practice room of approximately 65 sqm on the first floor, with many windows, sea views, air conditioning, and a wooden floor.
Course size: 6–20 participants. The course language is German.
Important Information
Kalamos – ILIOHOOS The distance to Volos is approximately 40 km. In the village, you will find cafés and two tavernas.
Horto: Located 7 km from the ILIOHOOS complex, the picturesque village of Horto offers cafés, tavernas, and a small shop.
Milina: About 15 km from the ILIOHOOS complex, Milina is a holiday village with a beautiful beach promenade, cafés, tavernas, and a market.
Argalasti: The largest village in South Pelion, located 6 km from the complex (about a one-hour walk, taxi ride approx. €12). There you will find tavernas, a supermarket, bakery, shops, a hospital, post office, and an ATM. Every Saturday, there is an open market offering local and organic products. Buses run daily between Argalasti and the city of Volos (Argalasti–Volos: 40 km), as well as to other destinations in South Pelion.
